Team BFC received a special invite from Mr Dyllan Gebhardt, Farrarmere Head of Discipline (and old Barbarian), to join in with Farrarmere Primary’s Lighthouse assembly for their 2024 Grade 1’s. Both the young learners and their parents were in attendance being formally welcomed into the Farramere Primary family. The theme centered around allowing Jesus to guide their young steps and to be His lighthouse as His light shines through each young person as they interact with one another, their teachers and their parents.

A short mini set of feats gained the attention of all with sitting in front being blessed with soda water as some cans were popped! We also found a new use for Jumbo colouring books in substitute for the phone directories that have become extremely difficult to find.

The team spoke into the theme from their own experiences and how they try to shine His light in their daily walks. The short messages were relevant for both young and older generations.

Mam Stansfeld (Principal) then invited the team for a breakfast and chat in the staff room.

What a privilege in was to have been invited to be a part of this special occasion. We trust many young learners took away something special in their hearts….Jesus.
